911 operators have a tough job. They field calls from all ends of the spectrum. I found a site called 911 Callers that has a bunch of them you can listen to. Some are serious, some are quite funny.

A genius attempted to rob a muffler shop in Chicago on Monday. According to this story, the employees told the robber that the manager, who wasn’t there, was the only one that could open the safe. The robber gave the employees his phone number — they were to call him when the manager got in and the safe could be opened. Needless to say the employees were much smarter than the brainless bandit and called the police who foiled his plan.

or is it just me? Seriously, the popular website Hot or Not has been around for some time now. You look at a picture and rate the hotness of the subject. If you can handle it, you can also upload your picture and have people rate you, which might either build up your self esteem… or totally destroy it.

I just came across an interesting site called Anger Central where anyone can write in rant about whatever or whoever is under their skin.  I think this might be healthy, vent and get it off your chest and perhaps feel refreshed and move on.  It’s kinda like a blog with many authors, but not really.  You figure it out.

I love redneck stuff because, well, I kinda am one. This is some creative construction right here. And just think, if you order a broom online and have it delivered - it would fit in this mailbox!

A Boulder Colorado woman was fined $1000 for dyeing her poodle, Cici, pink to raise awareness for breast cancer according to this story by the Denver Channel.  Joy Douglas, the pet’s owner, is a hairstylist, claims that she used beet juice and other organic products and didn’t cause any harm to her furry friend.  She adds that Cici, and her predecessor Lulu (who was also frequently dyed pink) have done well at their “civic duty” to raise awareness and funds.  Authorities say Douglas was warned prior to being fined that pinking her poodle was a no no.  The poodle parent has hired a lawyer and plans to fight the fine.
